PROPOSAL

I'll write a proposal of work based on our chat and send it to you. If you want to move ahead, reply to my email and we’ll move onto the next step.

INVOICE & CONTRACT

I'll send you a contract to sign & invoice to pay. I usually take 50% upfront to secure your spot but I also have 3-month payment plans for any project over $1,000.

We schedule our strategy session and get to work! I can't wait to make videos with you!

FAQ

  • Average timeline: 4-6 weeks

    Once the contract is signed & the invoice is paid, we will schedule your strategy meeting.

    At the strategy meeting we’ll book 2 shoot days - the “talk to camera” day first, and the “b-roll” day second. The shoots are usually scheduled within 2-3 weeks of the planning meeting so we stay on track.

    Once the shoots are done, delivery of video is approximately 2-3 weeks after the shoot “b-roll” shoot day.

  • Plan to spend approximately 6 hours on your Essential Social Media Videos. Our planning meeting is one hour, you’ll want to spend one hour practicing your script, you’ll want spend an hour picking outfits and gathering any props, the “talk-to-camera” shoot is one hour and the “b-roll” shoot is one hour.

    If you are getting hair and/or makeup done on the day of the shoot, make sure you account for that time too.

  • Three Essential Social Media Videos start at $800 with add-ons like running as an ad or creating an Instagram 9-grid available for an additional cost. 

  • Being unclear about what you do is one of the biggest mistakes I see small businesses make on social media. Often, small business owners are so deep in their business they don’t realize everyone doesn’t already know what they do. The best way to make sure people know what you do? Show & tell them on video and pin that video to the top of your page! Your good work alone is not enough to get you noticed.

  • These days, the one advantage a small business has over a big business is the personal connection with your customers. The big guys don’t get to have that 1:1 interaction, they almost never have a face to go along with the business. We as small business owners don’t have many advantages over the big guys, so let’s capitalize on the few we have! Make genuine connections with your customers by showing up on video.

  • Everyone feels embarrassed or uncomfortable about being on video at first. It was a real shocker for me when I started filming people how self-conscious even the most confident people can be when they get in front of a camera. And the hard truth is, the only way to get over it is to practice until it feels like no big deal. Your friends and family might think you’re cringe, but they aren’t the ones responsible for running your business and making your dreams come true.
